We are currently recruiting for a Contract Officer to assist the Commercial Manager in providing general contract management duties thereby assisting Valleys to Coast to maintain and improve our homes and estates to the highest standards.
The overall purpose of the position is to work closely with the Senior Surveyors and provide contract management advice and contractor performance updates. The postholder will support the operations team with contract administration, attend contract pre commencement and progress meetings, as required and ensure projects start and end on time, to budget and to the required standards.
We are looking for someone who has or is working towards a relevant higher level qualification in Construction, Building or Surveying. You should have a good understanding of various construction contracts, construction and construction costs/rates and contract management. You will be required to hold a full driving licence and have access to transport.

We are currently recruiting for a Construction Apprentice to support, assist and complete repair and maintenance jobs on Valleys to Coast Group properties, located across Bridgend.
The overall purpose of the apprenticeship is for you to gain valuable experience whilst learning on the job and attain the qualifications needed to become a fully qualified tradesperson. You will work 4 days a week with Llanw, alongside an experienced trade colleague as your mentor. The remaining 1 day a week you will attend Bridgend College, Pencoed Campus, to study the appropriate level 2 or 3 qualification. Apprenticeship disciplines available consist of level 2 multi-trade (carpentry, bricklaying, electrical and plumbing) or level 3 electrical engineering depending on course entry requirements.

We are currently recruiting for a Trainee Quantity Surveyor to join our Development and Growth Team.
The overall purpose of the role is to assist the Commercial Manager in providing general Quantity Surveying duties thereby assisting Valleys to Coast to maintain and improve our homes and estates to the highest standards.
The job holder will assist with monitoring and reporting on expenditure in order to control costs and ensure budgets are not exceeded. They will work in partnership with their colleagues to ensure the consistent delivery of projects on time and to agreed budgets.
As part of the role you will prepare monthly reports, cost and value reconciliations and work closely with the operations team and provide commercial advice. The role will also include the preparation of enquiries for subcontractors and suppliers inviting them to quote as required and then to analyse these quotes and make recommendations.

We are currently looking to recruit a Contracts Manager to operationally manage the General Housing Repairs Services at Llanw as part of Valleys to Coast Group.
As the Contracts Manager you will be responsible for managing the general housing repairs services within Llanw, maximising the skills and experience of the mixed team of trades colleagues. The trade colleagues making up Llanw service focuses on Void refurbishments, carpentry, roofing, plastering, brickwork, general external works and associated electrical, gas and plumbing works.
We are looking for someone who has experience in management skills, planning and organising, managing operations and resources, problem solving, managing and developing people, customer relationships, customer care, work scheduling and identifying variations.
The ideal candidate will hold the relevant professional qualification or equivalent experience which evidences the appropriate calibre for this post e.g. ONC/HNC in a construction related subject, IOSH, NEBOSH, SMSTS or other related health & safety qualifications. You will be an experienced Contracts Manager and have previous experience in leading and motivating a successful team to maximise their skills and experience.
